Good gaming pc builds under $500

My little brother is trying to build a decent gaming pc but he doesn’t know the first thing about it.
Do y’all know good parts for under 500(not including monitor)? I’m trying to get him this for a Christmas present. TIA

Find something used on craigslist, already built for a good price is probably your best bet. Buying used parts is also a way to maximize your budget for performance.

It's too bad you're not in baton rouge. Two pretty decent PCs at $300 right now on craigslist
