quote:get a 55 gallon drum, drill 10-15 3/4" holes in the bottom. Bury it in the ground, fill with sand 1/4 way and gravel the other 1/4 way. Attach your sewer line to it. Bury it. Done.
Don't mean to switch gears on original post but it appear what I'm interested in is being discussed a great deal here.
Recently new as well to camper life and camper will remain set up and used 98% of the time where no sewer line is available and too much trouble to pack up and leave to dump tanks.
Any you baws use toilet bags for chit and just allow piss to flow on ground? If so what bags/liners work best?
Also congrats to original poster on new found "hobby"

We have a 18 ft bumper hitch camper. We use it lots and are currently sitting in it 1600 miles from home the mattress it came with was a spring mattress and my hip bones hit bottom when I flopped over. Chubby ole dude that I am. We went to Walmart and bought an egg crate foam pad and a quilted rubber pee pee quilted mattress pad. foam on mattress, pad fitted on top and now we sleep great in the thing dont remember the cost but sure it was far less than 100$ The rubberized fitted sheet has saved us a couple times once leaving the vent open for a rain storm.

The mattress factory on Florida is where I got my rv mattress made, along with my parents rv, my uncle's rv, and my cousins rv. They are fantastic and build them on site so they can make any size.
