I was one of two this weekend to earn the Rifleman patch. On the first AQT I had some butterflies and sent my first shots on the 3rd and 4th stages way high. Still ended up with a 215 which is above the 210 required for rifleman. Shot 222 on my 2nd. After that I put it on auto pilot and rapid fired my last two AQT's and still got a 214 and 210.

Nice job.

Please help us amateurs out that can't read the fine print/know the rules of this qualification.

Distance?
Time limits?
Caliber?
Irons or glass?

Good description of the Appleseed clinic is here. Highly recommend it to everyone regardless of the shooters skill level.

Pretty cool, might have to look into that as a way to get back into competition shooting again

What club are you affiliated with? Here in Alabama or elsewhere?

I'm not affiliated with any club. Project Appleseed clinics are open to anyone and everyone. Just go on their web page pick a date/location and sign up. A guy I met who shoots high power told me about the program. He's competed at Camp Perry but still goes to one or two a year.

Thanks. So you did the 22LR for your Rifleman?

We have a couple spots here in N. Alabama that work in conjunction with CMP..the Blue/Gray guys do I believe.

Yeah I did my 10/22 for my AQT.

Appleseed Project parent organization is RWVA (Revolutionary War Veterans Association) which is a CMP affiliated club but you don't have to be a member to participate. You can join the RWVA for $20 and the Appleseed course counts as firearms training so you can meet the requirements to buy a Garand from the CMP
