Corruption in Congress is Rampant

It's become more and more evident since Trump took office. Pick a topic, any federal responsibility and you have three sides, those who are extremely corrupt and power hungry (most dems and McCain), those who are corrupt (GOP establishment), and the new guys.
Look at healthcare for example. People will always do what is best for their families. If Obamacare isn't good enough for a congressman's family, why should American families have to suffer with it?
The answer is pretty simple, majority of Dems do not care about people. It's about power. I've said for years that if congress were forced to play by the same rules as the average American we would truly get things accomplished that are best for the country.

Corruption gets thrown around a lot. How are you defining corruption?

I agree. Just for comparison sake, how do you define corruption? Just curious.

For me corruption is bribes, kickbacks, and things that will get someone thrown in jail or removed from office.

I'd call taking payments or favors from lobbyists to pass certain bills as unethical, whether that falls under the heading of corruption or not?

Pretty sure that is illegal.

I agree, but it seems like your definition would rely on prosecutable evidence. High leveled criminals or corruptocrats have many levels below them to "wipe" their fingerprints. That doesn't meant their corruption, or bribe taking, or kickback doesn't exist. Think Al Capone...everyone knew he was a criminal killer, but his flunkies, or the people he bribed ran legal interference for him.

I look for some links to hard evidence. Not enough to prosecute becuase that can be a high burden.

Well it happens all the time and would validate the point the OP is making about Congress being corrupt.

How do you define "hard evidence"?
