I am moving to Hawaii for work and thinking about taking my PS4. Have yall had any experiences packing a console carry on/checked baggage on long flights with layovers?

inb4 the you're in Hawaii go outside and forget about the PS4 jokes. Main use will be for netflix, NFL Sunday Ticket, and Hulu.

Thanks!

You should be able to either take it in your luggage or carry on.

Just an FYI... The airlines are being really anal about carry on sizes, especially United. So be prepared that they could make you check it in.

Pack it really well if you put it with your luggage.

Also make sure you take out the PS4 when you go through security.

It's been years, but I packed my PS2 in my suitcase for a flight. I guess just make sure it's got enough padding to survive the trip. I wouldn't bother trying to carry it on because that will make your check-in experience just miserable.

Not quite the same thing, but I've packed my personal laptop in my checked-in luggage on a lot of business trips. It's always turned out fine, though it has had one of those random checks where they open your luggage to see what's inside more often than not.

I've taken my X1 with me on multiple flights. I put it in my gym bag and carry it on the flights with no issue. You treat it like a laptop through security as it has to be in its own bin.

Another thing to remember is PLEASE take any games/discs out of the console when you pack it. It can be an easy thing to forget but it can easily ruin the game with one bad bump. At least in my experience.
