Anyone ever been here. Been taking a fishing trip to Lake Bruin the last few years and want a change in scenery. Especially since I got shut out last trip .

My uncle goes probably once a year and catches monster crappie spider rigging. That's about all I know.

For hanging out, drinking and shenanigans I agree. For fishing? No way.

Depends on the species.

I seem to be able to find bass on Bruin somewhere every time I go. Not so much on PP. There's about 10 holes on PP. Everybody knows about them.

From now through march the crappie fishing is phenomenal. 2+ lbers are common.

My dad lives on the lake. Should start catching white perch from the bank soon. There are some nice bass as well, and good catfishing.
I have never stayed in the cabins.
Great sunsets, and Poverty Point is cool to spend an afternoon.
