T-mobile customers question

I'm looking at switching. Which seems crazy since I travel so much, but Verizon service isn't that great and their LTE has been a let down.
-Do you get dropped calls?
-Are there many dead spots?
-Is the LTE actually fast?

No

The only dead spot i knew of was around my house out in Prairieville, but they just put up a new tower a few blocks away

They just upgraded the LTE to 10+10MHz a couple weeks ago, and I've been seeing speeds of around 40 down/15 up.

-Do you get dropped calls? Almost never.
-Are there many dead spots? If you are deep in the sticks, coverage will be very spotty or non-existent. I believe I heard or read that TMO is aggressively starting to colo equipment on Verizon's towers, which is supposed to address coverage issues. City coverage, on the other hand, is really good.
-Is the LTE actually fast? I find it's pretty fast.

you can do the t mobile test and find out for yourself

1. Check your coverage
To make sure you can get the full T-Mobile experience, check your area on our coverage map.
2. Take your test drive
Sign up for a trial device and we’ll mail you an iPhone 5s. Try out the network for 7 days.
3. Return your device
When your test drive is done, simply return your device to a T-Mobile retail store.*

Also, another bonus since you have verizon currently

Verizon customers: Now you can try out our powerful network on ANY device with no risk! For a limited time, switch to T-Mobile for a 14-day, risk-free trial and we’ll even pay your way back to Verizon—if you choose.

I'm a Verizon customer but keep a T-Mobile phone that I use to travel to Italy. Have used it all over the continental U.S. and Europe as well. There are some tricky spots overseas but for domestic travel it's awesome. Good reception. No contract. Decent phone (I paid about 90 bucks for mine). As a previous poster said, the calls over Wifi are amazing and don't cost you a penny. T-Mobile gets a bad rap but I'm beginning to wonder why I'm holding on to Verizon.
