This is the only reason I play the lottery...dreaming of moving to Japan, purchasing one of their MLB teams, and traveling throughout Asia in a perpetual foodgasm.
A guy can dream, right?

I didn't forget. Just got tired of posting. I think Taipei is on my shirt list as well. Just don't know anyone who has been.

I spent a lot of time over in Taipei and Taichung. Hotel I stayed in at Taichung was right next to the largest night market in the city (Feng Chia) so I went there pretty much every night trying different things. Stinky tofu stands can be smelled long before you get to them. Grilled squid and fried squid stuffed with rice were popular and very good.

You left out quite a bit of Asia. My top ten food destinations in that continent:
1. Tokyo
2. Hong Kong
3. Singapore
4. Aleppo
5. Bangkok
6. Lahore
7. Hue
8. Kyoto
9. Beirut
10. Delhi
If you really just meant east Asia, my list would be:
1. Tokyo
2. Hong Kong
3. Singapore
4. Bangkok
5. Hue
6. Kyoto
7. Chang Mai
8. Shanghai
9. Saigon
10. Chengdu

Kinda of biased because of my mom's heritage, but I do want to go back to the philippines soon. I still love filipino food, but wish I could cook it myself
