Defense Can't Stop Run

It was obvious in the first half against Wisconsin and pretty much the whole game last night. We can't stop the run and especially breakaway runs.
Forget about who is playing quarterback or running back or anything else about the offense. If we don't fix this then it will be a long season with lots of losses.
Miss. State's offensive line pushed our guys around all night long. I don't know if they were bigger but they were definitely stronger. Our tackling was the worst I can ever remember seeing in recent memory.
Our opponent last night was good but not nearly as good as we made them look. And even then we could have won that game with a little more luck, maybe one or two less missed tackles. But luck won't get you through an SEC schedule like ours, only a much better defense.

MSU was getting about 7-10 yards a clip late in the game. Surprised Mullen didn't go for it on 4th down on our side of the field.

Yeah, if we keep getting gashed like that it is going to be a long season.

Of the two real teams we've faced, the two main RBs have averaged 8.8 and 12.3 yds per touch.
State's RB had 197 yards on 16 carries (and their QB had 100+ too). I didn't realize their RB had that many yards, but there were gaping holes right up the middle all night. It was alarming.
