Wait it out a little longer and see if it's just an early season slump?

He's just a utility/bench guy on my team but after his monster spring I had decently high hopes on him.

Guy has 2 hits in 20 AB's.

1 out tie game bases loaded, Belt grounds into a double play.

Worthless, good thing he's on my bench.

Too early to give up on him depending on the format.

Thought you made judgements on players after a week?

I'm in the same boat but there are honestly NO other first baseman worth a damn to drop him for. As of now he sits behind Youkilas and David Murphy on my roster. Hopefully he gets out of his slump these next few weeks.

What do you expect from Belt, realistically? SF is a cavernous park, especially to RC/RF.

Would you think something like 13/70/275?

I'm not saying he'll go ape shite, but he did lose 15 pounds from a stomach virus and admittedly hasn't gotten all the way back. I'd hold for a few more weeks.

Oh he's just my INF position player a few times a week tops, which is why I didn't care to keep or drop him really.

Billy Butler at 1st and Morales/Belt are backups that split time at INF, but I have Chase Headley on the DL coming off next week with Panda at 3rd, so there is no room for Belt or Morales next week and I'll have to drop one, looks to be Belt.

I'm hoping for something like .280/.365/.430. 13-15 hrs 75 rbis. He also has sneaky stealing speed, swiping 12 last year so 12-15 sb's hopefully. I have him in an OBP/slg % league, he could be a low risk value for me.

His babip is .194 after today, even though his LD% is >33. I'm gonna stick with him for a bit, of course with freeman dl'd and Ortiz not back, it's BB or parmalee right now at 1b so............
