1st Round- Jarvis Jones OLB, Georgia
This is really a gift for the Saints. Jones is perhaps the best defensive player in this draft, but due to concerns with spinal stenosis, he may take a slide down to number 15. The Saints can't really afford to pass on a talent like Jones because premium pass rusher and 3-4 OLBs in general don't come around often.

3rd Round- Chase Thomas, OLB, Stanford
Saints double-dip at the linebacker position. I am a huge fan of Chase Thomas. He's not a freak athlete or a phenomenal pass rusher, but he's a really good football player. He's instinctive, disruptive, and, most importantly, versatile. He played in a 3-4 at Stanford and can flex between the inside and outside 'backer spots. He's also got great leadership qualities.

4th Round- B.W. Webb, CB, William and Mary
Webb is a small school product that absolutely dominated at his level. He's got the speed to keep up with almost any receiver and the ball skills to occasionally make opposing QBs pay. He's not the next Darren Sharper, but he's a solid player available in the 4th round.

5th Round- Earl Wolff, S, N.C. State
Wolff was an unsung hero in the N.C. State secondary, often overshadowed by the ballhawking of teammate David Amerson. He managed to snag a couple of interceptions and rack up an incredible 136 tackles in his senior season. He can make an impact on special teams immediately.

6th Round- Josh Boyd, DT, Miss. St.
I haven't watched a lot of Josh Boyd, but scouting reports suggest he would make for a good rotational lineman in a 3-4. He possesses good body fluidity and anchors well against the run. He also offers a little upside in terms of pass rush, just don't expect to be blown away.

Nice mock. I like the picks and could see all of them being there where you are projecting (not familiar with Wolff, so wouldn't know one way or the other). I like C. Thomas a lot myself...doesn't look like a superstar but could be a good dependable player for years. If Boyd is there in the 6th, he could be a huge value.

Like your first pick but don't like the 3rd. Don't think we take 2 OLBs considering we already have Galette and Wilson who are penciled in there.
It's either an ILB or a S/CB

And yeah, I def think we take either a TE or WR in say the 5th

like the draft, but like brett said no way we double dip since we have wilson/galette.

There's gonna be a OT or TE somewhere depending on bushhog's contract, and since david thomas got cut I think we pick one up in the late rounds. I think WR is full with nick toon being redshirted and joe morgan emerging. RB is also full, we know that.

I put Thomas for a couple of reasons. Wilson and Galette have no experience in a 3-4. Wilson, to this point, has not shown anything other than the occasional pass rush. I think they can both be good in the system, but asking rotation players to become full timers in a new system is a tall order. Thomas has experience in a 34 and can back up at ILB. The team needs to draft for depth on D like they do on offense so they don't have to break the bank in free agency every year. Lol that's my rebuttal.
