How bad do yall think that movie is going to bomb? I doubt it grosses more than $30 million opening weekend. Maybe 3-D will get it up to 35 mil, but that's about it. I certainly don't see it making back its budget.

It should make it's budget back opening the same weekend as a horror film and that will be shown on a loop on Comedy Central in two years comedy 21&over.

Hollywood Stock Exchange has it opening at $71 million which is pretty optimistic.

They should have just rebooted the franchise with X-Men First Class.

can't they still do that? First Class crew meets their future selves and they do some things differently/ launch a different timeline? somebody get JJ Abrams consulting on this.

They could if they tore apart the script and then wrote one in one draft, because they start shooting at the end of next month.

So the next X-men following First Class won't take place a decade later? I thought that was the plan, First Class in the 70's, next in the 80's, next 90's to fill in all the back story prior to the very first X-Men.

First Class in the 70's

First Class was in the 60's.

In this sequel the First Class cast will be in the 70's and the "Future"/old cast will be in our present.

Casting update:

Peter Dinklage has been cast

and I'm also reading that Jackman's role will be much larger than it originally seemed.
