Let's just say that production costs combined with marketing and all, the studio dropped $250 million into the movie. It brought in $310 million. Studios only get about 60% of the box office receipts. That's about $186 million. Let's go with $190 million. That's a $60 million loss right there.

Movie didn't have a star and had the worst possible release date.
