I like Nikki, but with the money she's getting paid she need to win, make the tourney and advance in the tourney

We know that, last year she took a team that truly didnt fit her system in terms of her style of play and took them to the SEC championship. They lost the only true point guard to a season ending injury. She took them to the 2nd round. This year, we lost 5 seniors, we are playing with a lot of inexperience, lots of freshmen, and little depth. We are 3-3 in the sec which is not bad but not great. The team is getting better each week and all of the losses were close games. Giver her another year to bring in HER players and you will see a huge difference.

I think he typed it on his phone or something...several posters have phones that do that to their posts.

sorry, LSUalum was right, was on phone and I am an idiot with tech stuff (among other things I am sure). Anyway I took take exception with the idea (opinion) of how NC did last year. What she inherited was a team that should have made NCAA's and she took them there and lost a second round home game. She had an All SEC Senior and two other seniors. IMHO she did a decent (no better no worse) job. Those who keep saying we need to wait 3-4 years to evealute her seem to always want to also give her high grades in yr 1...

I disagree with her having done a "decent" job. She took a team that had underachieved for the past three seasons and got them to the SEC tournament championship game, and a 4th place finish in the regular season conference race. They lost in the second round of the NCCA tourney but, the team they lost to was a higher seeded team. So, let's not act like they were supposed to win that game. For a coach to inherit a team that has perenially underachieved for the preceding three seasons, and get seniors in their last year to buy into her philosophy, is more than just a "decent" job. Now the challenge is to rebuild the program after the departure of six senior players. The fact that the team is starting to show some progress at this point is actually earlier than I'd have expected. I honestly didn't think they'd mentally recover from the loss at USC but they did. So, she's doing something right.

But she does need time to rebuild. So, anyone who suggests that she's not doing a good job is someone who's probably not following the team much at all.

Come on LSUalum, you are btter than this...we may disagree at times (while always rooting for the team to win), but do you really think anyone who does not agree with you (like me) does not follow the team? I have been to 5 games this year/watched/listened to at least 10 of the rest and have been season holder for 5+ years.
Anyway, your "at least good" vs my "decent" makes little difference...in next 100 games over a few seasons, she needs to win (top 4 SEC, NCAA's etc) or she has not done good job and if she makes any final 8's, top 3 sec etc in next two+ seasons IMHO she has done great. BUT, so far I do not feel she has done very well (another adjective!)

Yes, losing KF was a blow, great talent, but assume there was good reason and we are in long run better off w/o her. My expecation coming in was 4-5th place finish with 60-40 shot at NCAA's. SEC has proven to be so top and bottom heavy I guess this is still valid. I would be fine with 19-20 wins and a .500+ in SEC. I know it is only her 2nd year but IMHO no excuse (barring a couple key injuires) that we do not at least do this and if we do not is worst year in last 14. However, no matter what, I agree next year is a better baromoeter of NC's ability etc.

I feel that is a little unrealistic, lost 7 players from last years team. We are playing with a lot of freshman and little experience and little depth. Its not like we are getting killed in our losses, its our inability to finish games which is a result of youth and inexperiencce. I do not have a problem with your opinion, I respect that andwe all want the best for the program. The point is that this is a rebuilding year.
