He had an offer on the table from them but waited this weekend to see what Pinkel and Mizzou would do, I'm sure it gave him some degree of leverage. We were also talking to a mystery outside candidate over the weekend (most seem to think it was Jeff Tedford, we supposedly were willing to throw a lot of cash at him but major relocation, no southern ties for him etc made it not doable) and so Henson got the nod.

A lot of Mizzou fans will tell you he's a terrible recruiter. I'm just glad it worked out so Andy Hill can stay on the staff.

Well to be fair, recruiting coordinators don't recruit, rather they handle all the administrative details like mailing offers, scheduling visits, arranging rooms, that sort of thing. He excels at that. Very detail-oriented person, which you have to be as a recruiting coordinator.
