Prvi Partizan Ammunition Question

So I was in cabela's today and found some of this.
Long story short, I shot them this evening and holy shite do they shoot AMAZINGLY well. Stupidly well. As in I shot a .25" ctc 3 shot group at 100 yards with them well. This rifle usually shoots around 3/4 MOA with factory ammo, give or take a little bit.
My question is, would you be scared to shoot a deer with them? They shoot about 3" higher than what my rifle is sighted in for, so I'd have to completely unass what I'm using to hunt with this stuff. I haven't shot them outta my other rifle yet, but I'm thinking I'll be making a varmint rifle out of it if it shoots it as well.
I'm also a little concerned about it being too high pressure for the old mauser 1896 action. I can't find any warnings on it, but it does kick a good bit harder than the 140gr federal loads I'm using.

If you're gonna shoot imported ammo, that's supposed to be some of the better stuff.
Personally, I just don't use the imported ammo. it's a lot better quality than it was 10 years ago, but it's not up to us QA/QC standards. It's cheaper than the "good" US ammo, but it's not cheap enough to entice me.
But plenty of folks shoot that stuff, and lots more that shoot stuff that's a lot lower in quality than the Prvi Partizan. So don't avoid it just because I'm leery of it.

I shot some out of my 308, and it sucked compared to Southwest Ammo.
Check them out.

My main concern is how that bullet will perform on a deer.
I still can't believe how well it shoots.

I have a 6.5 x 55 and have shot some of the Privi ammo. Killed a couple of deer with it as well - no issues. However, I have chronographed it and it is much slower than advertised. It clocks around 2350 - 2400 fps as opposed to the 2600 fps advertised.
Overall quality of the Privi ammo is pretty good. I have shot quite a lot in both pistol and rifle. Some of the ammo is excellent, particularly the 223 and 308 ammo, both of which clock right up to spec in my rifles. However, the 6.5 x 55 and the 8 x57 are very slow compared to specs.

If you are shooting inside of 200 yrds, you will not have a problem even if the velocity is as low as 2300 fps.

With how accurate these things are I could slap a target scope on here and have a legitimate 300+ yard rifle. I've never seen a surplus WWI rifle shoot 1/4 MOA, much less with factory ammo. It's pretty tough to not sight it in for em

You can easily have it drilled and tapped, put weaver bases, use high mounts and probably not have to modify the wing safety. I have done that with my KAR98K Mauser and it works great

It's already drilled and tapped with a 3-9 leupold, barrel cut and crowned, glass bedded in a walnut stock with a timney trigger, lapped bolt, all matching numbers and leupold mounting hardware. It's a fine rifle. I'd just need taller mounts and a scope because it barely clears a 40mm bell. The guy who built it for me knows his shite.

The M96 action is as strong as any modern action, actually stronger than some. True, it lacks the third locking lug of the Mauser 98 but so do most modern rifles. The main problem of the M96 was that it didn't handle gas from a ruptured case as well as the M98. And in those days, ruptured cases were pretty common. Nowadays, with modern brass in good condition, that isn't much of a concern.
Nope, there is no reason to worry about shooting high pressure loads in a M96. In Sweden, those M96s were often converted to .308s and other very high pressure cartridges for use in target shooting and the like. And European 6.5x55 ammo is loaded very hot compared to US ammo.
As for the PRVI ammo, why wouldn't it work great on deer? Deer are easy to kill. You don't need a TSX to kill a deer.

That's what I was looking for
As for if it can kill a deer, I guess I should have phrased that better. I know it will kill a deer, I'm just worried about being able to find it after. I like exit holes.
Boy it sure is reallllllllllll hard to stick to the regular ol 1MOA stuff when this stuff is splitting count hairs though :lol;

One bump from 2nd page before I let it die

Don't think I'd be concerned with it not exiting. I'd be more concerned with it not mushrooming effectively without knowing more about that bullet. Some of those foreign hollow points have a very shallow cup and are solid. They use the 'hollow point' to provide a smoother nose by creating a dead air spot that's pretty much perfectly formed as it flies. It's for accuracy. Not expansion.

Didn't think about that. There is literally zero information regarding their terminal performance on the interwebs. All anybody has to say is they shoot amazingly.

With it being that light, and that long, I'd suspect that it's steel. Not going to be a good deer round.

Makes sense. Armor piercing!!!
I'm gonna get after one with a bi arse magnet this evening and see.
