Would the NCAA tournament benefit by starting the first round on Saturday and Sunday?

Would the NCAA tournament draw more TV coverage, etc. with a Saturday-Sunday first round and Monday-Tuesday second round format?
The first round consists of 32 games. A good percentage of these are played during the work day hours and or very late for Eastern time zone fans.
If the first round is pushed to the weekend days, I'd believe there would be more viewers and also it allows for 2 more days of practice and hype.
Some teams have less than 96 hours between Selection Sunday and tip off of their games.
And the second round only consists of a total of 16 games. 8 on Monday, 8 on Tuesday. Those games can be staggered to start around 5 PM on the East Coast to 9 PM on the West Coast.
The same setup for the Sweet 16, Elite 8, Saturday through Tuesday.
The Final Four is already Saturday- Monday.

They would benefit by not reviewing every f’n play at the ends of close games.

No, playing hooky to watch those Thurs/Fri first round games is the BEST. Theres just something about watching sports at at strange times that make them more exciting.

No. Barely getting any work done is a tradition.
I remember back in the day they would roll the TV into class and we would just watch the tournament all period - teacher would call it a "study session"
