In a "democracy", Democrat policies will always win

This is why democracies are retarded ways to setup governments.
Limited forms of democracies can work, but need to constantly be in check and balance.
Obviously, once you have a universal democracy with hundreds of millions of people across a vast, expansive land mass, with a controlled media propoganda machine, and millions of new hungry mouths to feed showing up at the border year in and year out... the party of "free stuff" will simply be unstoppable.
The Republicans either need to get with the show, and start offering their own version of "free stuff" to their own patronage network... or actually start taking action to limit democracy.
But what will not happen, is you are not going to convince braindead Americans (especially as the definition of an American changes daily) hooked to the gubment cheese, that we need to cut spending or anything of that nature.

So you want more autocracy. I guess you better hope it’s your type of authoritarian rule as you are kind of screwed if it’s not under your plan.

So we need to set up a more controlling type of government that caters to what a certain segment of the population wants?

Democracy inevitably leads to socialism.

The only reason the left is addicted to the word "Democracy" is this...

Democracy just means you'll eventually be ruled by the dumbest among you.
Our founders realized this and added protections.

It’s a good thing we aren’t a democracy

That's why Article IV Section 4, I believe, guarantees a REPUBLICAN form of Government.
"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government..."

Ideal scenario is to have many small governments (with more power) competing against eachother to balance it out. Probably similar to the country in the Articles of Confederation era.
It's nice to talk about democracy, it sounds like rainbow and sunshine in theory... but it isn't real. The democracy is basically fake anyways, as it is completely controlled and manipulated by the media and intel agencies.

We weren't supposed to be one, but actually we basically are now.
14th, 16th, 17th, amd 19th amendments, as well as the commerce clause basically brought us out of being a Republic.

Does it feel like you are living in a Republican form of government?
That piece of paper doesn't guarantee sh*t. It's just a piece of paper. Your government is what your government does. Get your head out of the sand.
