Hip movement - Driver vs irons

Lately I’ve been rotating my hips pretty early and aggressively and my drives have been the most consistent I’ve ever hit them.
However, I have such a hard time rotating my hips around enough with my irons. Resulting in the club face being wideeee open at contact. This makes me start coming over the top to counteract.
Anybody have tips on hip rotation for irons and getting around enough

Assuming you are RH....roll you right elbow inward and toward the target - - - don't contort your body, you just want to get that elbow tight against the body to keep it from flying out on downswing. This will keep your swing path more consistent and compact and also create a natural rotation for your hips. Just remember to overly exaggerate keeping you eye on the ball and seeing contact...you don't want to swing the edge of the club into the ball or top the ball.
I dunno if this works for everyone, but it is something Burky showed me and has really helped minimize the number of times I come over the top. Good luck and hit'em straight.

I suffer from the same thing and my golf coach showed me this picture of a guy who didn't have a big hip rotation at impact, Nick Faldo. There were lots of guys back in the day who looked just like this and were pretty darn good.
Is your take away good, meaning is the club on the outside of your hands at the start of your takeaway?
This is one of the problems I had, I started my club too far inside and the club face was wide open at the top of my swing. I have pretty good hand eye coordination to be able to get it back square sometimes but not consistently. Once I started with what felt like an outside takeaway, my clubface was square at the top and I was able to keep it that way on my down swing and thus it was square at impact without a big hip rotation.

I have a similar issue. Have to really think about firing my hips with the driver or else I’ll snap hook it.
Weirdly the opposite with my irons, I feel like when I fire my hips, my club face is left open and I push everything 20 yards right.

My hips fire too early apparently. Slice city.
