Not saying we can make a run or anything, but Dallas is the only team that is over .500 (.526) and we are only 6 games back.
Dallas 10 - 9
Memphis 10 - 10
San Antonio 6 - 13
New Orleans 6 - 17
Houston 4 - 16

Remember 14-15 when all SW teams made the playoffs? Good times

Is a division winner get an automatic playoff spot? As much nba as I watch I'm not sure.

Yeah there is basically no point to divisions anymore.

that would be the most Pels thing ever ... overtake Dallas to win division, still wind up in the play in game and lose.

I think the only time winning your division matters is if you're in a tiebreaker with another team for playoff seeding and you have identical head to head records.

The Board also approved changes to tiebreak criteria for playoff seeding and home-court advantage. Head-to-head results have become the first criterion to break ties for playoff seeding and home-court advantage between two teams with identical regular-season records; the second criterion is whether a team won its division. Under the old tiebreak system, a division winner was awarded the higher seed and received home-court advantage in a series if the two teams met in the playoffs.
