How confident are you in the precise mechanics of a high level coaching search?
You think the very last thing Woodward does after basically agreeing to terms with a guy is go to boosters and ask for money to fund the contract?
It seems by your very logic that boosters are involved early in the process. Because you can’t tell Riley’s agent you have a huge offer if the boosters haven’t agreed to fund it. So it seems like all
Of this smoke came from some of those boosters approached early on telling people that Riley was the guy.
Meanwhile the talks never really progressed and that’s why we never heard anything from Miller, Rabalais, or Dellinger,etc. But meanwhile this board was fueling an internet frenzy based off of second or third info from some of those boosters approached early on about Riley.
To me that’s much more likely than a scenario where we thought he was signing last night and literally no one official ever even reported serious interest on our part
