Easy now Chadboy. Let's not get crazy here. Keep in mind, a full back doesn't get in the spotlight at all. What I'm saying is that Karney is more valuable than you realize. Just bcs yesterday the guy had a few plays where is name was called, doesn't mean he is better than MK.

Karney scores on both of those catches that Sombitchen makes. The one where he got crushed out of bounds on the 2 and the one where he fumbled. MK scores twice baby!!

Mike Karney = Top 5 overrated Saints player

5 td's in 4 plus years... 2 of which came in one game where he was the forgotten man. He's about as one dimensional of a fullback as there is in the NFL.

There's many fullbacks in the league that bring more to the table than what Karney does. With Reggie being our primary runner... we need a guy with a bit more of speed who can get out to the space quicker and throw some blocks. Karney is a bowling ball that doesn't fit our high speed high flying offense. A tightend/fullback hybrid type will suit our offense a lot better. Karney can sometimes catch a ball but his running after the catch isn't exactly a threat. Karney is a pretty good fullback but the love for him is too much sometimes. He's treated like a hero but brings very little to our team.

Its funny... very few of our big plays have karney in the game. Not a coincidence. Karney is a square peg in a round offense.

I think Karney puts it in the endzone on both of those plays. He sets up better on the first one and scores and uses some force minus the fumble on the 2nd

Mike Karney is one of the best blocking fullbacks in the NFL. I do agree that most of our big plays come when he is not on the feild, but that is because we are usually in 3 WR sets when these big plays happen. The biggest thing that Mike Kerney brings is going to be helping to clear some holes for Duece in the power run game.

My question to you would be who do you want to take TD's away from to give them to Karney. We have the play makers on our team, all Karney needs to do is block, which he does very well, and ocassional catch a ball or two out of the back field. Watching him play you will see he is not only one of the best blocking fullbacks, he also has some of the best hands for a fullback.
