huge difference when they went out--no consistent pressure, so more time to throw the ball and less run defense. We go from shutting a team down to getting exploited. Thats a huge transition. just like last yr when dorsey was hurt and cheese was out. We became a diff team on d. Keeps there offense on the field. keeps our offense off for longer--. going from smothering an o line and not giving them time to throw or room to run to giving them time to throw bombs and room to run up the middle is a huge deal. I can only prey we keep both healthy this yr

It's the difference in the rotation. It;s not that RJF and CA are that much better than anyone else, we just have to play Nevis and Levingston more, and they aren't as physically mature as the others.

I completely agree, we are an average D at best without them and it exposes our secondary much more than I would like. Beckwith's injury also looked big too when our LB's couldnt cover their RB's at all.

Levingston was playing DT in the 4th quarter.

I haven't watched a replay of the game but as I recall the defense went pretty vanilla after both tackles went out. I don't remember as many blitz packages being used. All in all they did a good job on a night when it was obvious that they were not "up" for this game. It was a case of one teams talent beating another teams zeal and lack of talent.

we are a completely diff team when our 2 dts are on the level of dorsey, cheese and rjf--everyone bashes, but no one takes into account how much the game changes when u lose some pass rush and some run defense. can make a great team look weak--so many reasons why---

woods and favorite are run stuffers, nevis is a pass rusher but weak on the run. I think they are serviceable but average at best.

That's the way it seemed to me when I watched the game. In particular, it seemed to me that their RB Dixon really picked things up in the second half when both RJF and Alexander were out.

Beckwith is NOT a strong pass cover guy. It is his weakness not his strength. He is strong in all other areas, but is often confused and out of place.
