Exactly. Usually at this level, you have egos that play into it. Saban's ego is such that he understood he had to change his team dynamics, and he did. Aranda saw a problem and made an immediate change, and hit it out of the park, and he didn't have an Engsminger-type figure to help him find a diamond in the rough. It's a rare quality to know something doesn't work very early on and make a change, especially given how stubborn many elite coaches can be.
