Sure, one's attitude is critical, but try not to dismiss things like this so quickly. It's hard to go with "mind over matter" when your mind is what's the matter.

I believe this depression crap is mostly BS. If you were a parent during the war years and you were constantly worrying and wondering about the possibility your soldier, airman, or sailor could be killed at any moment, and you had to live each moment with the possibility of receiving a telegram from Western Union, or you saw a black car pull up to your house with two uniformed service members knocking on your door, THAT is true depression. Grow a set of gonads people.
