Lol - yes they’ve had some sort of branch since the 1940s - Central and Pride got fancy new buildings in the early 2000s

I have so many memories of going to that place as a child and young teen. I used to read A LOT. One summer, I read the summer reading list and won a ride on the Samuel Clemons paddle wheel boat. It expired though and I never got to go.
I read every Hardy Boys book written before 1990 or so. That Central library…hadn’t thought that place in 39 years or so…
