You don't need to pay anyone $12mm unless it's Saban or Dabo.

Lincoln is worth 12 million, along with Saban and maybe Dabo. I think we could manage giving Rhule about 9 if that’s the way we went.

JMO, but it's not a lowball offer. He'd get a raise ($8.5mm at Carolina right now) and would be paid as much or more than Saban.
He's beaten like two ranked teams during his college HCing career.
$2-3mm isn't that much money for LSU but it feels unnecessary
