Serious answer…
My mom was very overweight her entire adult life. She was age 60+ had advanced severe osteoarthritis and completely macerated menisci of both knees. Suffered for almost 10 years needlessly and hobbled. She prayed everyday for Jesus to fix her knees (her words).
Finally she came over one holiday about 5-6 years ago and couldn’t stand up without help. I told her “ok enough is enough. Unfortunately Jesus doesn’t fix knees. He has never fixed ONE knee. It’s time to make an appointment and get surgery.”
Evidently that was the kick in the pants she needed. She booked ortho appt the following week. Then she had double knee replacement surgery soon afterward.
And now she’s been pain free and fully mobile ever since the recovery. 5+ years. She says it’s one of the best decisions she ever made.
