the LSU football?
50 years from now.... I don't know if LSU football is still exciting like how we are right now
So, be thankful and enjoying every moment that we have right now

"Grandpa, how could LSU let other teams score points back then? And why didn't Charles Scott run for 300 yards a game?"

As much as I'm enjoying this, as are all Tiger fans, it will end. That's just inevitable. Look at Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas, Notre Dame, not to mention US. Who would have thought that just two years after finishing ranked 5th in the nation (1987), we would have a LOSING season? I certainly wouldn't, but it happened. Penn State won the national championship in 1986, yet two years later slipped to 5-6. It happens, which is why I'm savoring all this while I can as much as I can.

Les will stay at least a decade. He'll win a couple in BR before he's said and done...just to rub it in Nick's face

It's always exciting! I've been attending Tiger football for almost 60 years now. Seen a few national championships, seen a few losing seasons - but I'm always excited when I enter Tiger Stadium.

That's what I'm talking about! You have a few years on me, but I feel the same.

The Golden Years of LSU football were 1998-1999 when Lou Tepper led a ferocious defense that obliterated hapless offenses.

First of all, is this gilded age based on how few losses we have in a season? In other words, if we slip to 8-4 or 7-5 this year, or next, or whenever, does that officially constitute the end of our "golden era"? And if not, what does? Don't be so vague next time.
