I would broaden and narrow the scope of suspects. My guess is Congress is being blackmailed for a variety of reasons, individually and as groups or blocs, by a variety of perps for assorted reasons, none good for the American people.

Basically, everybody in Washington is “compromised.” “Blackmail” is a bit too literal, but for doddering fools like the Biden family, probably just as accurate. Most of the “compromised” ones are smart enough not to succumb to out and out blackmail. Both have basically the same effect, though.

We had the closest thing possible to someone who wasn’t blackmailed or compromised. He wasn’t perfect, but I’ll take the imperfect that to the alternative I’m likely sure to get instead all day every day.

That’s why he was installed.
