Are 2 different things, IMO.
Like dealing eithbthe DMV, cable company customer service, etc. it's been so egregious, we as society have come to consider this as normal now.
But, long arse waits should not be considered acceptable in an advanced society.

This. It's amazing how people are easily conditioned to accept mediocracy. People will risk being late to work because they're willing to wait an hour in a fricking Starbucks drive thru line.
What's worse is you could take 15 minutes to stop, go inside, and pick up your order if you're smart and order ahead. Hell you could go inside and make an order and be out in much less time compared to the drive thru.
No, we've become too fat, selfish, surly, and lazy as a society today. We have dumbfricks willing to risk their very employment because they need that $5 cup of coffee that tastes no different than gas station coffee.
