Where is the best place to stay? best route? Any advice on this trip?

Coming from BR, best route, IMO, is 61 to Natchez then 65 to Pine Bluff, 530 to Little Rock. You WILL see cops in: Vidalia, Ferriday, Clayton, Waterproof, East Carroll Parish (the worst), Reed, AR and Gurdon, AR, sometimes Gould, AR. Despite that, you can make pretty good time.
To stay: I believe the team is staying at the Peabody. Downtown is nice (Peabody, Doubletree, Capitol, Marriott Courtyard, Holiday Inn Presidential). West Little Rock has most of the hotels with an Embassy Suites, Crowne Plaza, another Courtyard, Springhill Suites, etc. and you'll have more chain restaurant type options out there than downtown. There is a place right across from the stadium called Markham House Suites, I think primarily used by people with family in nearby hospitals, but I know a few posters here have stayed there. There's also a La Quinta close to the stadium but you are getting into a bad part of town there.
The stadium sucks, you'll laugh at it, but hey, there is some semblance of tailgating there and you are getting to watch the Tigers!

Hey Fan 2008--the LR Alumni group is having a good gathering. Our North East TX group will be there also helping--as the time nears look on the LR wevb site and ours at TEXARtigers.com for additinal information.

I'm going to, and I'm stoked! I haven't been to a game in 4 years, because I'm living in choklahoma. Maybe we can meet up somewhere.

Really want four tickets to this game - can be two sets of two. Have posted on Ticket Exchange but no responses so far. Anyone here have any Arkansas tickets to sell?

There is a Hilton Hotel that is right across the interstate from the stadium and golf course. It is nice. All of the other good hotels are about 5 miles from the field out in West Little Rock. I would highly recommend the Hampton Inn and Suites on Shackelford (right next to a Krispy Kreme) or the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza on Shackleford. The Courtyard and Embassey Suites on Financial Parkway are nice as well.

In a van, down by the river........
Sorry, couldn't resist.

I live in North Little Rock, and It's nice cause I'm close enough to everything and far enough away. There is a La Quinta right off of McCain Blvd. It's only about 10 min from the stadium.
I just moved up here, so I've never been around Little Rock for the LSU game, but I wouldn't stay to close to the stadium. There are some places to park for around 10 dollars right by the stadium that are worth it.

I got my email today from LSU confirming 2 tickets
I always take 12 to 55 to Memphis and down 40.
Once went to Vicksberg and went up LA 65 I think and it was nerly dirt roads

Went to the game 2 years ago. Night before the game we stayed in Little Rock and following the game we drove to Memphis and went out on Biel Street. Way cooler than LR!

Wow... just find that curious my mgr. is from Benton. Do you go to the Little Rock chapter gatherings? I went to the North Texas game, do you know any other cool places to chill here? I just moved here and am trying to get used to everything a bit still

I'm going too...but I don't have tickets. I think Ark season will be so bad, Ark fans will be giving them away outside the stadium.
I'll be there for 4 days. Is there enough to do there for four days?

LaQuinta....right across the highway from the stadium

LaQuinta across from stadium. 90% LSU fans, we have a ball in the parking lot the night before as everyone is coming in. Lots of Tiger music being played and adult beverages. Then morning of the game we walk across to the zoo where the LR Alumni have a gathering in the zoo. $20-$25 gets u in to see the zoo, get into the heated tent, a meal, and a cash bar. Pretty good time. Then walk out of zoo and right to the stadium.

Two years ago, my wife and I made a special point to drive as slowly as possible--and I mean SLOW--on the way to the game for this very reason...and we still got pulled over by an officer in a small town for (allegedly) going 20 MPH(!) over the limit. I'm not really sure how he could have zapped us with a speed gun since he was driving towards us when he made the observation that we were "speeding". Anyone know how he could pull that off with an accurate reading?
