I don’t feel particularly sympathetic to him. It’s just that a good amount of this board gets apoplectic about athletes to levels I can’t fathom unless these people were rapists, pedophiles or murderers.
Kaepernick had a very good childhood, is a good test taker who greatly overestimates his intelligence, and has a very naive view of the world. He fits in well with the activist left.
As for his football career, I think he got a raw deal his first year. The second year is arguable, and from that point forward it has been more advantageous for him to not play than for him to make the team.
