Donny, I really have mixed feelings about this game, mainly cause it's not made by Infinity Ward (who made COD4) and from what I heard in the past is these people have made shitty games.
This game will be based back in WWII, so that's one thing I not to hot on after having played with modern weapons. The plus is it will use the same graphics engine as the COD4, so it should flow nicely. I look forward to playing the demo when it comes out, that may decide whether i purchase it or not.

i heard that they were going to use the same multiplayer engine(or whatever you wanna call it) that they used for cod 4

Socom for sure, although I don't know how it'll compare to previous Socom's since Zipper isn't making this one. Zipper is behing the MAG game that was shown at E3, and I can't wait for that game whether it's in 2009 or 2010.
Also can't wait for Heavy Rain. That game looks to be pretty awesome.

Has been trash! 2k basketball series has been much much better. We'll see this year though. Only EA for college now. I'll skip this year an buy 2k8 College again. I had traded it in.
Only game I'm getting on the PS3 is Socom Confrontation. All others will be on XBOX 360 because of better online play.

im goin for rock band 2 especially with its over 500 songs, sure u have to buy 450, but o well...definitely COD5, COD4 was amazing, might not be diggin the WWII format tho, prolly NFS as well

Same here! I'm a Socom-A-Holic! There were many nights of staying up late playing. COD4 was a great game and it was fun as hell playing online, but it never filled the void Socom left when I moved up to next gen games.
Just got the beta tonight, and it makes me feel all warm inside because I got SOCOM back in my life, if only temporarily.
