I find this single line more racist than anything Gruden typed. I'm beginning to think Dan Snyder is keeping the Football Team meme alive just so people will always think of that word which can no longer be uttered to describe the Football Team in question.

Back on topic, it would be stupid to punish Gruden for something *vaguely* racist he said 10 years ago in a private email. In all reality it wasn't even racist, he was describing a physical feature of one individual and didn't mention race at all.

It's not like he said "all black people have lips the size of Michelin tires" or called them all dumb, he was talking bad about an individual person.

Conversely, if I compliment an individual black OR white person is that assumed to mean I'm talking about the whole race, or even bringing race into it at all? No. So why is saying something negative about one person's appearance considered racist?
