first, Louisiana doesn’t have many really big trout compared to other states because of the freshwater. But generally people fish the marsh, where most of the juvenile trout are. When the water temperature gets higher and days get longer, most of the bigger trout are moving where the salinity is at least 15ppt to spawn - for example, popular islands near the gulf.
