I don't think so. Their defense might be top 5 but their offense is terrible.

I think this game was tremendous for our team and our QB's confidence but as between Auburn/Alabama/Florida/Georgia, I'm glad we got Auburn first.

Any thoughts?

You better hope not. They still put up 300+yards on us.

They will be top 10 by the end of the year. Isn't this how they do it every year?

Busted coverages...14 pts against our D

I think they are improving each week

By years end, Tubby will have them playing much better IMO

Definately top 10. imo, they are the 5th best in SEC behind LSU,Bama,UGA,and UF. If they were in the big 10, they would probably go undefeated

Oh I watched it. Just because they had some success and a few busted plays does not mean their offense is any good.

We stuffed the run fairly well most of the game and their QB has a weak arm.

I guess my point is that Auburn is certainly not on the level of Florida or Georgia. Maybe a Top 15-20 team but their offense is not good enough to be considered a legit contender.

I think a lot of LSU fans want Auburn to be better than they are because it was such a great game. I think we made it a great game by playing so poorly in the passing game in the first half. We won the second half 23-7. I think that score is more reflective of the relative talent level of the two teams than 26-21.

Both teams are very similiar. A couple of wide opened for TD receivers were victim of Auburn's QB.

LSU and Auburn are identical twins cept our fans are louder :-)

So the first half was just a fluke? LSU is better than Auburn, I won't argue that point, but it's not like y'all came in and blew us out of the water.

We are not a top ten team right now, I think 15th is about right.

all good points, but never under-estimate how "big" this win was for LSU.....we have had much better offensive teams with equal or better defenses (ala 2006), and couldn't come away with a win.....any type of win at Auburn is a huge feather in a team's cap!!

Auburn may not be a Top 10 team, but I doubt any any team would defend their home turf more than they did on Saturday night...it would be toght for anyone to march into their stadium and put a big "beatdown" on them, especially this early in the season....the only exception might be if they lose 2-3 games down the stretch and someone like Bama or FL were to show up with a much higher level of emotion and interest in winning the game.

No, it was not. It was reflective of LSU's QB play. Our QB was schizo. My guess is Lee is somewhere in the middle, hopefully closer to second half Lee.

I think the talent disparity, young QBs aside, was more reflective in the second half score than the first half. You are free to disagree, but I do not think Auburn will end up 1st or 2nd in the West and I do not think they are a Top 10 team. I think 15-20. LSU is a top 10 team and if we had a solid QB (*), we're top 5 or higher.

My point is that we are much better than you to a man everywhere except QB.

(*) To be clear, I hope Lee uses his second half heroics as a stepping stone to being that solid starter. I think fans ought to expect, however, some rookie mistakes.

well their offense is a work in progress, it was MUCH better than the first 3 games for Auburn.

Auburn made ALOT of changes coming into this week, LESS fumbles, OC up in the box instead of on the sidelines, etc..

it wouldn't have been an LSU auburnt game if AU wouldn't have worked out some of the kinks in their offense.

Very good point. I think this win is bigger psychologically than it will look at the end of the season. I hope that it's the game where Lee realized he's good enough and just decided to "play" instead of worry about it.

About 320. Still not too bad when you consider that the average defense that leads the nation usually gives up around 250 or so.

This was Jarrett Lee's coming-out party. Book it.

Let's hope so Godfather1.

I just hope our fans have a little patience with him. He's a RS Frosh and he's GOING to make mistakes. shite, Mauck, Russell, Flynn...all made mistakes.
