I don’t trust Woody to make a good hire

Said it before- any one of the dipshits on this board could make a big hire if we had an open checkbook. Money whipping Mulkey does not impress me for a number of reasons- WBB is a money loser, she’s at the tail end of her career, and even the best WBB programs get little attention. The baseball hire looks good but remains to be seen. He has done nothing to straighten out our compliance department and Wade continues to twist in the wind.
He was responsible for the worst contract in CFB with Jimbo and extended Orgeron. Tell me again why we should believe he is going to make a good football hire and not throw a cagillion dollars at the latest flash in the pan?

75 million for Jimbo...in today's market for a competent coach who has won a title and in his 50s...is market... A$M has billions...no big deal...

75 million over TEN years for Jimbo is retarded by anyone’s standards, specifically for a guy who won a single title and FSU was headed toward the shitter before he left.
I like the mulkey hire, but we overpaid. Period. She was clearly already interested in coming home. So the idea that he somehow lured her here is BS. 2.5 million a year in a sports program that consistently loses money, with an administration that is trying to make athletic revenue part of the general fund is again, retarded. But not as retarded as saying its like bringing Saban back........

Mulkey is probably the second biggest name is women's college basketball. Downplay that shite all you want, but that's a major hire for LSU.
So what about this makes you not trust Woodward to make a football hire?
What do you expect him to do with Wade? Fire a coach, who has LSU basketball trending up, before the NCAA does anything? What are you expecting him to do currently?

So tell me that you've ever seen a single situation where the head coach didn't have something in his contract that stated that the coach receives a bump in pay to the top 5 of the nation/SEC whatever for winning a NC? I think that's standard is every single contract (it was in Saban and Miles' here as well). These terms would have been drawn up by Alleva, not Woodward.
What else you got?

Because it's not the university's money. Boosters are paying for that sh!t. In Mulkey's situation, there is on booster in particular that put up the money and said go get Mulkey. And Woodward did just that--masterfully.
