First post but long time reader of the OT and the rant...watching the replay of the game, it was LSU's kicking game that had me worried going into the game, but it turned out to be a positive for us and it was AU's kicking game that had a huge bearing on field position late in the game...sorry if I didnt do a search on the kicking, but I just LOVE this board!!! Go Tigers!!

Nice first post. I agree with you. AUs punting was pathetic. Dalphrey did much better this week. He has a lot of leg. Hope he keeps it up.

Yup. Our starting kicker had the flu all week. We had to go with Shoemaker who got beat out and was the backup. He cost us big time with a 6 yard and 26 yarder that set LSU up for the winning drive.

I believe that the no. 1 Auburn punter was out for the game due to illness. While I hate to see a player miss a game due to illness or injury, it certainly came at a fortuitous time for LSU.

I hate seeing AU be able to find ANY reason for a great win, but the game was a great win, and we played well in ALL facets of the game...ok...so there is room or improvement as Less would say!!!
