i would say that's mine, but my wife seems to not like the idea.
i've at least convinced her to let me set the terms of my own birthday in my late 30s.
it's actually next friday and i'll take the day off of work (kids are out for fall break anyways) and i'll start a brisket early, go for a run, start a pot of beans middle of the afternoon, have beer, add some ribs or chicken to the smoker, drink some beer, make some smoked mac and cheese, fill a cooler with beer and drinks for the kids, and whoever she invites is welcome to come over and eat my food and drink my drinks or they can not come and not eat my food and drink my drinks.
if they do come, i'd like them to be gone by 9 and to get laid.

My 2, 6, and 8yr old sang me happy birthday after work.

That sound nice. Let me know where to be or to hit you up at for a location and I will be there. I won't even bother to tell you happy birthday, and I will be gone before 8 pm.
