1. Lee has a good arm. He will have plenty of growing pains this year. He had several passes that were almost picked in addition to the pick six. That said, he showed he is mentally/physically able to bring us back on the road in a hostile environment while down by two scores. GREAT NEWS!

2. Charles Scott= Cecil Collins reincarnated (physical ability only I hope)

3. Oline looks good and looks very good for run blocking.

4. Dline looked solid. (no surprise here)

5. Secondary looked physically gifted. They too will have growing pains. By the end of this year and next year they should be one of the best secondaries in the country. (not including McCray. Dude just doesn't have the wheels for how we're using him)

6. Mallory/Peveto is still up in the air, IMO. They didn't bring much of a rush at all. If this is any indication of their aggressiveness then we're in trouble when we play GA and especially UF. The way you beat them is pressure. Stafford makes mistakes A LOT under pressure and you take one of Tebow's many weapons away when you rush him. (see miami game) I'm hoping that it was just a game plan to contain and keep Auburn from getting the big play. If we sit back against GA or Bama they will march down the field. However, Auburn wasn't good enough to march down the field and depended on big plays.

7. Hatch is a tough motherfricker. He looked mentally prepared last night and ran physically. It's a shame he just isn't blessed with an arm. Kudos to Hatch for his efforts.

8. Our QB situation should be Lee as the main starter b/c that gives us a passing game to open up holes for Scott/Murphy/Keiland. HAtch should come in like Perrilloux last year, but more often. Hatch is a solid runner and he could be used for trick plays and make a pass downfield. Also, it's good to have Hatch in case Lee is melting down out there.

9. This team could win 9-10 games this year. Which is good news. I was afraid we'd lose four or five.

10. Gary Crowton is a damn good OC.

i said earlier, it amazes me how Miles and Co. can have the "lesticles" to go for all these risky trick plays but then we rush 4 men every single down and give even the shittiest QB a chance to lock on Mccray's man and burn us. Our corners are fine, nut up and blitz occasionally.

I think we need to blitz more, but honestly we'd give up a lot of big plays if we blitzed as much as the board wants us too.

If you blitz too often, teams will pick it up and beat you to death with short passes or the big play, whichever you leave vulnerable. Every time you blitz someone is vulnerable. However, last night we couldn't afford to give up the big play and Auburn didn't show that they could run the ball against our front 4, so really no need to risk it, IMO.

Why did you wait till #9 to expose your doucheness.

I read all this shite thinking you might have some insight, latecomer.

Disagree...Hatch is the better "game manager", and Lee needs more time to mature. This team can win tough games with solid defense and minimizing mistakes on offense.....

As Lee matures, I agree that Lee has more upside, and the opportunity to redeem himself through last night's "baptism by fire" may have accelerated this maturity considerably.

If Lee played the rest of the year like he did in the first half last night and all we had was Hatch, then 4 or 5 losses is not a ridiculous thought.

Did you notice how many players alternated at OL....great coaching.....

boy did I get crucified this summer for saying Lee would be the starter after several games in the season. Too many thought the true Fresh should be and were is he now???? and some said Hatch, but I don't remember any saying anything about Lee except me.......

What were you thinking the 1st half? I was thinking losing about 3-5 games.....and then along came the second half and Lee.......

I'll respectfully disagree here. With no passing game, you get what we got in the first half last night. 3 points, if that offensively. Depending on defense to get you points will take us back to a similar season like 2002.

The difference in 2002 and 2004 was the "threat" to pass. In 2002, teams knew we couldn't throw since Randall was forced in there. We lost 5 games. Should've been six, barring a miracle.

In 2004, we had Jamarcus who had a rocket for an arm, that posed a threat to go downfield. That's what Lee brings us this year. Not saying his arm is anywhere close to Jamarcus', but it is a top quality arm as far as strength goes for the SEC.

I know. I was just pointing out that he WILL make mistakes and throw a lot of picks. But we still need him to win. We need him to take growing pains this year so we can make a good SEC run next year. I'm not conceding this year by any means, but leaving him on the bench will not put us in as good a position for next year.

Physically I'd love for him to be like Cecil. Note the parentheses. But yes, you're right. C.Scott is a man on is own.

The first part of the 2nd half weren't boding too well. We were playing back and letting them drive down the field. Some solid secondary play saved the game right there. Still a great defensive showing, IMO.

I've read many people on here say Lee should just start.

In the first half, where it looked like we didn't have any passing threat whatsoever.....I thought we'd lose 4 games, maybe 5 if we completely fell apart.

Now that I see we have a threat 9-3, 10-2 is a great possibility. I"m not saying Lee is a great QB right now, but I'm saying the threat to pass is HUGE for this years team.

WE do need to blitz more, I'm just saying that we weren't completely non-aggressive last night.

There were two reasons we gave up big plays last night:

1. Danny McCray being used at Nickelback
2. blown plays that were lucky for auburn.

he's got talent, obviously, because he plays with us. But the boy just can't get going fast enough when we need him too.

i'm not going to be too hard on him, but he can't mess up in the georgia or florida games. it will cost us everything.

he does have talent. As a safety/linebacker. That one's not on McCray at all. Going on 3 years now we have used him in a spot he is not athletic enough for. It's just stupid on teh coaches part to play a S/LB at Nickelback to lockdown a solid receiver.
