re: Les Miles continually defies the odds and it pisses me off

I liked Saban when he was here, but the reality is that he is extremely abrasive regarding his assistants to the point of losing a few every single year. This never helps, especially on the offensive side of the ball. (BTW, this is something LSU fans always glossed over and made excuses about.)
He also will completely pull the plug on the offense in a big game if it is close or he has a small lead. It can be very frustrating. Is he a 4 year wonder maker? Yes. How does it play out over a longer period? No one knows. He has never stayed anywhere very long.
We do know he recruits like a mfer.
I was upset when Saban left. We hadn't had as successful a coach in 45 years. But looking back on the Miles years so far... I am completely content with Miles. You can have Saban. If he wins a title with you, he will be the first to do so at two different schools. No one has been able to rekindle the same success at more than one place. Not Spurrier, not Holtz, not Dennis Erikson and hell, Fullmer can't even do it at the same school.
Like I said, if he does it, good for him. He is better than I think he is. But history, his and college football's, is stacked against him. I guess we will see how they stack up next week.
And nothing clemson has done so far shows me they aren't overrated. Its a yearly thing with them.
