I will be headed to Colorado for the weekend and have heard good things about this place.
Can anyone confirm that it is a good spot to watch the game on Saturday? Do we need to get there early for the game?

Its Stoney’s not Smokey’s ….. and dat is the place where all of the alumni go …. Great turnout….I live in Denver ….. you will love it …. Beautiful weather this weekend

Stoney's downtown on Lincoln and 11th (or 9th I forget) was the LSU alumni association bar pre-covid.
Stoney's uptown is a better bar IMO but it's an Auburn bar technically.
Edit: Stoney's downtown make sure you go to the left side of the bar, it's massive. Used to be a bar called krewe but it was bought out and turned into one massive bar. Otherside is an Oklahoma bar so don't leave if you see a ton of OU folks

Stoney is a Kansas alum himself and was walking around in a KU jacket. I was there to watch LSU in the ncaa tournament this past March it was also filled with Kansas alumni.

Denver tiger here, can confirm stoneys is the place to be, but it won't be the bar experience you're used to. They insist on seating people so you can't just walk in anymore. The tables are spaced out and there's no standing room anymore. Covid really did a number on the experience. We went for the UCLA game and couldn't help but notice how much different it was.
Still a good option to be around our people when far away from home tho.

That's a bummer. COVID gon frick everything up and not make it as fun. I'm sure it will still be a blast being around my fellow Tiger's, that's for damn sure. I am really looking forward to the trip.
