They do this occasionally each season. There's a 5 PM central SEC game on ESPN also, so the odds of LSU/Auburn actually starting the broadcast on ESPN at 8 PM is unlikely. Broadcast will probably begin online only or another ESPN platform if they don't have another game on at that time.

It's a Saturday night, I don't really care. It's just that if it's a close game, my neighbors get to hear me yelling until after midnight
