This is just the French PM doing what he can to satisfy the outrage of the French military-industrial complex over losing the contract.
They haven’t severed diplomatic relations with the US. They are just signaling their displeasure.
We’ll make it up to them at some point. Maybe we’ll lower tariffs on Champaign and Brie?
