No point. Just curious on the ages of some of the responses.

I guess the argument is how young is too young to experience the consequences of the chosen behavior. Jail might be too harsh. They should thank their lucky stars this kid didn't commit suicide. But a ban from playing school sports is not unwarranted consequences in the least for this bullying behavior. Perhaps they should be homeschooled and away from other students until college.
The adults that knew about this and simply warned the perps should lose their jobs. They are not qualified as teachers and should not be in a school if they cannot protect students.
