Exactly, saying catholic families that trusted priests with their sons in the 1960s, 70s, 80s were being bad parents is ridiculous. During that time period a priest was considered beyond reproach. Catholic boys were encouraged by their parents to become altar boys, and spend time with priests, no catholic parent would have seen a problem with it.
