Could be a chick thing, I guess. They want to say they "made partner" but they haven't really done what it takes (including changing jobs, potentially). No real problem for the firm, I guess... lie to the chick in the form of a fake title and her husband will cover the bills anyway.


There's a whole lot of chick shite like that going on and it depresses wages, inflates titles, etc.
