This. Assuming the information you provided is accurate then why is there such an all out assault to FORCE people to get vaccinated? If someone wants to increase their risk of hospitalization/death tenfold then of what concern is it to you? They've made their own risk assessment as did you. Why is that not enough?

Simplistic response, but probably a lot of truth in it. On the one hand you are arguing the vaccine is significantly effective because it prevents serious issues by a factor of 10...but is also so ineffective that we still need to FORCE people to take it...which kind of cuts against an argument for its efficacy

But there’s the rub. When the CDC acknowledged that it doesn’t stop the spread of the virus, the vaccine became more of a treatment than prophylactic. lt then ceases to become a public health issue anymore than smoking or obesity is. How do you justify forced treatments for COVID, but not heart disease, cancers, etc... that kill many more Americans? Or maybe you don’t, and mandated medical procedures become the norm for a number of people suffering from a range of health problems. Medical freedom is gone. The state dictates your healthcare. A bureaucrat decides when MeeMaw has been on that ventilator long enough.
