i missed all of goodwins runs

kiner ran for 23 yards for the td, otherwise he didn’t do much.

and it was mcneese

y’all are quick to knight players based off of one play /one game against a subpar team

quite the opposite. He demonstrated very good vision and [with the worst OL of all time according to rant] only tackled for loss 1 time for 1 yd. He carried the ball 11 times for 57 yds. And yeah, it was McKnees- so a couple grains of salt applied.

LBers were much better. But DL can be dominant
yeah, LBs were better but watching them closely they were still standing flat footed alot and if not flat footed were biting on fakes (real and imaginary) way too often. They still have a knack for getting themselves much too far out of position.

Only reason LBs looked better, other than being an FCS team, was because the MCN OL were getting swallowed up by the DL. Who indeed were playing with more fire and energy than the UCLA game. They played like a group who had their manhood challenged after UCLA... and responded accordingly.

Now just do that to OL and WRs and make some forward progress.

ETA: As another bright spot, specifically LBs... did I see Greg Penn out there making some plays? Including pressures and filling some gaps? If I remember that correctly a freshman doing that, in context of our starting LBs, is indeed a bright spot.
